The Equine hydrotherapy and rehab centre was established at Marston Stud in 2021 to provide top class care for all disciplines within the equine community.
“I would like to thank everyone at Marston Stud for the best possible rehabilitation programme I could have wanted for my horse. The injury (a fractured pedal bone) required a full cycle rehabilitation plan and care; from box rest through to her return ready to ride again. Marston Stud initially took her on box rest and then devised a programme that included the water treadmill, small restricted turnout and then individual field turnout; liaising with vets and specialist farriers throughout and adapting her care and programme accordingly. Everything was done to make sure she had exactly the care she needed. They would be my first choice if I ever need my horse to be looked after again.”
โAfter my horse had extensive Kissing Spine surgery, we really struggled to build up any muscle over his topline. My physio and vet recommended that he may be a good candidate for water treadmill rehabilitation. When I contacted Marston they were very professional, knowledgeable and honest with me my about my expectations. Whilst at the stud Pumpkin was treated as an individual and Emma and team worked with his x-rays and clinical notes/rehab plan to devise a programme for him. He ended up staying for a month rather than the 2 weeks he was originally booked in for as the results were so positive. The team looked after him beautifully and provided plenty of updates. Within 2 weeks of coming home Pumpkin was given all clear to start ridden work. Emma has kept in touch since he left, to keep updated with his progress.
